Actress Kareena Kapoor is set to make her author debut with Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible, a self-help book for pregnant women. Kareena became a mother for the second time earlier this year, when she and her husband Saif Ali Khan welcomed their son Jeh. They also have a four-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan.
In the preface to her book, Kareena Kapoor wrote about projecting an element of glamor during her pregnancy, but admitted that she also encountered several difficulties, including fainting during a shoot.
She wrote: “People think a celebrity pregnancy is super glamorous. And I tried to make her look like this when I was out there! But I didn’t feel so glamorous – who does when they are. Pregnant? I gained a lot of weight, had pregnancy spots and was ready to sleep at five o’clock every night! Does this sound familiar to you? In this book I have been totally honest about everything I’ve been through, from my crazed eating to passing out in a burnout photoshoot. I hope this will make you smile and comfort you too. “
She added: “I decided when I got pregnant that I wouldn’t hide anything. I was there being as normal as possible. And I wanted to bring the same spirit to this book. I am also very proud of it. ‘Carrying on my work until the end, although I have to admit that I pushed myself too hard in Jeh’s day.

After suffering a backlash and media scrutiny around Taimur’s birth, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan decided to protect Jeh’s privacy. In fact, her name wasn’t revealed to the public until recently, months after she was born. The actors were also careful to reveal the baby’s face in any social media post.
