Norwich City have already entered talks with Tottenham as they look to bring Oliver Skipp back to the club next season.
The midfielder is highly regarded by Spurs and had been on the sidelines of the first team for the past 18 months or so. However, he was understandably going to have a hard time getting regular minutes, so a loan at Carrow Road was sorted.
And, it’s fair to say it’s a deal that has worked wonderfully for all parties, as Skipp has featured in every game as Daniel Farke’s side lead the league.
In addition to impressing with his abilities on the ball, the England junior international shone with his tenacity in the middle of the park.
Therefore, it is perhaps not surprising to see Statement from a football insider that the Canaries are actively trying to find a deal that will see Skipp return next season.
They say it will depend on Norwich promotion, although it seems inevitable as Farke’s side currently hold an 11-point lead over third place with just 11 games to go.
It would be a great deal for Norwich as Skipp has been a hugely influential player for them this season, and playing regularly under Farke has made a serious contribution to his development.
From Spurs’ point of view, you can imagine they would want to see the youngster tested at the highest level before they consider bringing him back to their squad.
So, provided Norwich goes up, which is very likely, another loan would suit all parties and seem inevitable.
