Charles Henderson, Pike Liberal Arts and Zion Chapel are all home Friday night during week six of the high school football season.

Charles Henderson will return home after a two-game road trip to face Pike Road. PLAS will play its second consecutive home game when it hosts Tuscaloosa Academy and Zion Chapel hosts GW Long.

Pike County will travel to play Catholic and Goshen will travel to play Dadeville.

The Patriots scored their biggest win of the season last Friday night when they knocked out Chambers Academy 21-18. The victory gives the Patriots their fifth consecutive victory. Ian Foster led the Patriots with a total of 280 yards last Friday night and had eight tackles and two defensive pass deflections.

Tuscaloosa is close to Pike’s head coach Mario White, who spent some time at the Tuscaloosa Academy before coming to Pike. This year’s Knight team is 2-3 on the year and just lost 21-6 to Escambia Academy. The loss gave them their second straight loss after making a 2-1 start. The Patriots and Knights, reportedly, have met 11 times in total, with the Patriots holding a 9-2 lead. The Patriots beat the Knights 34-7 in 2020.

Charles Henderson may have his biggest test so far this season when Pike Road visits Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Rebels are 5-0 this season, coming off a 55-0 win over Rehobeth last Friday night. They dominate their opponents 257-72 this season.

The Trojans fell on Williamson last week in Mobile, 39-22. Charles Henderson is 0-2 against the Patriots.

The Pike County Bulldogs travel to Montgomery to face the Catholics on Friday night. The Bulldogs are looking for their first win of the season. The Bulldogs suffered a 49-6 loss to Carroll last week. This week they return to the regional game against the Knights of the First Place. Catholic is 6-0 this season and comes off a 42-0 victory over Montgomery Academy. The Knights have secured shutouts in their last two games and they beat their opponents in 2020 286-13.

The Goshen Eagles will also hit the road Friday night to face Dadeville. The Eagles are 0-6 this season. They travel to Dadeville to face a Tiger team who are 4-1 this season and just picked up a 15-12 win over LaFayette last week.

Zion Chapel just lost 35-20 to Samson last week and is 0-5 this season. They face a team of GW Long who are 3-1 and come off a 54-8 victory over Daleville last Friday night.

All matches are scheduled at 7 p.m.
