The names of the companies that received Paycheck Protection Program loans over the summer and the amounts they received were mandated for release on December 1 by a Washington, DC, court order following months of partial disclosures and calls for transparency on taxpayer-funded relief, and several Am Law 200 firms have maximized the loan amount by $ 10 million.
The largest of these companies was Boies Schiller Flexner, the troubled litigation shop founded by David Boies. Ranked # 93 in the Am Law 100, Boies was by far the top-ranked company to receive the maximum loan amount, but it certainly wasn’t the only one.
