The Team USA men’s hockey team came out strong and outscored Canada to win 4-2 on Saturday in Beijing. USA captain Andy Miele was outstanding, scoring two points and his third of the tournament. It wasn’t exactly the Miracle on Ice again, but still a very impressive effort by a group of American college players to beat a veteran Canadian team – many of whom have NHL experience.

Americans Lindsey Jacobellis and Nick Baumgartner teamed up for gold in the first-ever mixed snowboardcross. Competing in her fifth Olympic Games, Jacobellis won gold in the individual event earlier in the week. Baumgartner wins his first gold medal at 40, making him the oldest gold medalist in Beijing so far.
